Wine Review: This ruby colored Sangiovese based wine opens with a gentle cherry and cedar bouquet. On the palate this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, silky smooth and fresh. The flavor profile is a cedar influenced black plum with notes of clove, loam, and black licorice. I also detected some hints of tart cherry and black pepper towards the end. The finish is dry, and its refined tannins, acidity and flavors are nicely extended. I would pair this Chianti Classico Riserva with veal medallions with a creamy mushroom sauce. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: Villa Antinori Chianti Classico Riserva 2020 is ruby red in color. The nose delivers notes of cherries and cotton candy together with floral hints of violets and blood orange juice. The bouquet is completed by notes of rust accompanied by delicate aromas of agarwood. On the palate a velvety entry broadens into a flavorful, persistent sensation bringing forth spicy notes of tobacco and dark chocolate.
