Wine Review: This ruby colored Super Tuscan from Antinori just blew us away with how impressive it was. It opens with an incredibly inviting black cherry bouquet with notes of flinty minerality and hints of new leather and blueberry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, super smooth and silky. The flavor profile is a delicious black cherry and cedar blend with notes of faint minerality, black currant and a touch of cola towards the end. The finish is dry and its refined moderate tannins drift away nicely. This wine went perfectly with my filet mignon at Bricco in the North End. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The 2015 Tignanello is an intense ruby red in color with purple highlights, with pleasant notes of red fruit and sweet spice on the nose. The palate is fresh and vibrant with supple and balanced tannins. The harmonious finish and aftertaste are long and persistent.
