Wine Review: This deep purple colored Syrah is very good. It opens with an acai berry and blueberry bouquet with hints of boysenberry and cigar box. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied and juicy with zesty acidity. The flavor profile is a blend of gentle oak, graphite and boysenberry with notes of black plum. I also detected hints of black licorice, smoked meat and balsamic drizzle towards the end. The finish is dry and drifts away nicely. I would let this very good entry level Syrah breath a bit and then pair it with five-spice pulled pork sandwiches or Oscar's roasted pork carnitas burritos. Enjoy - Ken
