Wine Review: This slightly opaque and dark ruby colored Cabernet Franc from Andeluna opens with a barnyard and black currant bouquet with hints of violets and sandalwood. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is delicate, silky, and elegant. The flavor profile is an oak influenced gentle red plum and stone dust blend with notes of oolong tea. I also detected hints of red licorice and a dash of black pepper. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and fine tannins are nicely extended. I would pair this Cab Franc with a filet mignon. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Intense red color with Bordeaux tints.
Clear and typical notes of the variety when grown in high altitude mountains are expressed in the aromas: Calahorra pepper, chili pepper, mint, eucalyptus, tomato leaves, basil, thyme and jarilla.
In the mouth, you can appreciate its great volume and intensity, it has a creamy and intense texture with a persistent finish.
