Wine Review: This golden yellow Chardonnay from Paso Robles, CA opens with an intense bouquet of ripe pear, vanilla marshmallow, stone dust, and honeysuckle with a hint of pineapple. On the palate it is fresh, lush, full bodied, slightly creamy, and moderately acidic. It has some interesting complexity and very good balance. I found flavors of candy apple, blood orange, vanilla creme, spiced rum, and pineapple with notes of minerality and lime zest. The finish is fruity and lasts for quite a while, with a pleasant light bitter note. Serve with a creamy lobster risotto. - Mark
Winemaker Notes: The 2022 Chardonnay presents vibrant aromas of baked apple, tropical fruit, quince, and caramel. Soft, sultry textures unfold with flavors of pear, apricot, lime and caramelized spices. The mouthfeel is exquisitely weighted, achieving a masterful balance of tangy energy, fresh acidity and creamy undertones that carry long into the finish. The 2022 Chardonnay's beautiful weight and complexity make it a perfect match for grilled salmon, lemon-baked cod, chicken risotto and creamy pastas.
