Wine Review: This ruby colored Mourvedre from Anarchy opens with an inviting clove and Australian black licorice bouquet with hints of dried black cherry and molasses. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with very fresh acidity. The mouthfeel is round, dense, brash, and concentrated. The flavor profile is extracted blackberry and stone dust blend with notes of black licorice and boysenberry. We also detected hints of gingerbread and drunken cherries. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and moderate dusty tannins drift away nicely. We would pair this Mourvedre with beef brisket and lamb stew. Enjoy - KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: Nose: Deep black tar fruit, boysenberry, bramble, spice, and anise laced with rustic Provincial herb. The Dirty Frenchman is definitely present. The tail end lingers with a scene of vanilla cream
Palate: Deep dark fruit defined by blackberry, boysenberry, and cherry cola. The mid-palate builds to a sexy mouthfeel with gentile tannins laced with spice, pepper, and hints of anise balanced with a touch of vanilla oak lingering in the background.
