Wine Review: This slightly cloudy and dark purple colored Syrah opens with a smoked meat and blackberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine medium bodied with medium acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, smooth, and silky. The flavor profile is a tasty black plum and mocha blend with notes of integrated graphite and black cherry. We also detected hints of tea and blueberry. The finish is dry and its managed tannins build-up and stick around for a very long time. We would pair this impressive Syrah with braised short ribs. Winemaker Notes: Big mouthfeel right off the bat on entry, lush dark berry fruit. Layers of red and black woven into a gorgeous silken tannic structure laced with spice and black pepper that sits deep in the background. A lush creamy oak finish and lingering pepper notes.
