Wine Review: This medium purple colored red blend from Anarchy opens with a boysenberry and cinnamon bouquet with hints of black raspberry, leather, wet clay, strawberry, and clove. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, round, fresh and zesty. The flavor profile is a stewed black plum, black tea, and bay leaf blend with notes of black cherry, nutmeg, and strawberry licorice. We also detected some hints of root beer and oak mixed in. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity and integrated tannins linger nicely. The Tasting Panel would pair this red blend with a grilled hanger steak or with beef brisket. Enjoy - KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: The one that started it all… Alternative to the max, the blend that defied all the rules except…. Anarchy RULES!!! The magic is the relationship between the Zin and the Mourvedre. The Zin leads with all the bright brambly fruit and space. The Mourvedre grabs it and twists it around and upside side adding layers of dark brooding spice and anise. A wine suddenly possessed by a darker force that captivates the imagination with the Dark side. Thank god for the sexy lady Syrah who comes to your aid and pulls you back toward the light as the wine finishes with the sultry mouthfeel of Syrah that trails into a sexy toasted oak finish. Makes me want to listen to NIN.
