Wine Review: This dark ruby colored blend opens with a cherry-cola and oak bouquet with hints of vanilla, cranberry and blueberry. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied, slightly acidic, smooth and savory. The flavor profile is a fruit forward spicy plum and blackberry blend with notes of pomegranate and toasted oak. We also detect hints of mild graphite, white pepper, cinnamon and a touch of black olive. The finish is dry and its flavors sail away nicely. We would enjoy this blend with Hawaiian ahi tuna poke or barbecued shrimp and grits. Enjoy – KWGTP
