Wine Review: This ruby colored Pinot Noir from Anaba is very nice. It opens with mild black raspberry and boysenberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic and velvety. The flavor profile is a unique and tasty oak influenced spiced plum and red cherry blend with notes of cola and blueberry mixed in. The finish is dry and its flavors drift away nicely. This delicate Pinot has an elegant side. I would pair it with a similar food. I choose to pair it with roasted quail in Pinot Noir sauce with wilted spinach. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Rich, full aromatics speak volumes. It features ripe plum, dark cherry, crushed raspberry, cherry-cola and Christmas spices. The powerful, yet elegant palate is expressive as well with lush blackberry and black plum that is layered and evolving with balanced spice. Great structure and lingering finish.
