Wine Review: This opaque and very deep purple colored Merlot based blend is Excellent and was clearly one of the best wines that I covered at this year's wine blogger conference. On the palate, this wine is a mild black cherry and black currant. On the palate, this wine is medium to full bodied, very well balanced and smooth. The flavor profile is a pleasant blend of black currant and black cherry with a hint of anise, blueberry, and nicely integrated gentle oak. The finish is dry and its fine tannins drift away nicely. This elegant blend is extremely food friendly and would pair perfectly with a filet mignon in the near term from Del Frisco's. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Our 2009 Amuse Bouche is a Pomerol blend of Merlot and Cabernet Franc. The wine is lush, with an abundance of fruit-focused flavors and aromas of red licorice, raw coffee beans and dark chocolate.
