Wine Review: This cloudy medium purple colored Malbec based wine from Amalaya opens with a leather and strawberry bouquet with hints of blackberry and orange peel. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, smooth, fresh, and easy to drink. The flavor profile is blackberry and acai berry blend with notes of cedar, smoked meat and stony minerality. We also detected some hints of dark chocolate, strawberry, and licorice in the mix. The finish is dry and its fine tannins and flavors drifts away nicely. The Tasting Panel would suggest pairing this very approachable Malbec with grilled steak tips or a lamb burger. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Brilliant ruby color with violet edges. Strawberries, raspberries and ripe fruit with touch of pepper and spices aromas and elegant floral notes. In mouth, flavors of red fruit, spice and hints of vanilla from aging in French oak. Very nice freshness. Round, soft tannins lead to a delicate, lingering finish.
