Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Pinot Noir opens with cherry cola like bouquet with a hint of oak. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic savory and robust. The flavor profile is a spicy plum with notes of oak and black pepper. I also detected some red currant. The finish is dry and its flavors and mild acidity linger for quite a while. I would first decant this wine as it really opens is with some air. I would pair this big Pinot with slow cooked beef brisket. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Bright aromas of raspberry, currant and fresh plum explode from the glass, and draw us toward flavors which are similarly bright and possess amazing purity and focus on raspberry, blueberry and spice. Mouthwatering acidity is prevalent throughout; and the finish is vibrant, refreshing and incredibly satisfying. Absolutely delicious and incredibly balanced, this Pinot Noir is an obvious choice for moderately spiced entrees or careful, long-term cellaring.
