Wine Review: This slightly cloudy and dark ruby colored red blend from Alpha Omega opens with a black cherry and red raspberry bouquet with hints of menthol, light leather, green olive, and violet. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, round, fresh, and mouthwatering. The flavor profile is a graphite and red currant blend with notes of gentle oak and oolong tea. We also detected hints of red licorice, green olive, and dried herbs. The finish is dry, and its well-managed polished tannins build-up for a bit before drifting away nicely. The Tasting Panel would pair this red blend with a grilled hanger steak or a short rib ragu. Enjoy – KWGTP
