Wine Review: This purple-colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Alpha Omega opens with a gentle chocolate and boysenberry bouquet with hints of violet, strawberry, and oak. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, smooth, clean, and has nice tension. The flavor profile is a graphite and black currant blend with notes of strawberry licorice and oolong tea. We also detected hints of oak, nutmeg, and black plum. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and medium dusty and refined tannins are nicely sustained. The Tasting Panel would pair this Cab with a porterhouse steak or with Stuart’s beef wellington. Enjoy - KWGTP
