Wine Review: This deep maroon colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Alpha Omega opens with a kirsch and raspberry tea bouquet with hints of dark chocolate and menthol. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with integrated plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, lush and fruit forward. The flavor profile is red plum and maraschino cherry blend with notes of stone dust and intergraded oak. We also detected hints of red licorice and tobacco. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and well-managed dusty tannins linger nicely. The Tasting Panel sip this Cab by the fire. With food, we would pair it with a porterhouse steak.
