Wine Review: This slightly cloudy and deep purple colored Merlot based wine from Alpha Omega opens with a black cherry, graphite, and Hawaiian Punch bouquet with hints of cranberry, violets, and cedar. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, smooth, and fresh. The flavor profile is a black cherry and cinnamon blend with notes of oak and red currant. We also detected some hints of mocha, crushed stone, clove, and black pepper. The finish is dry, and its moderate dusty tannins stick around for quite a while. The Tasting Panel would decant this versatile red blend before pairing it with a lamb chop or just drinking it on its own. Enjoy – KWGTP
