Wine Review: This slightly opaque and dark ruby colored Cabernet Franc from Alpha Omega opens with a blackberry and black licorice bouquet with hints of blueberry. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, smooth, dusty, and fresh. The flavor profile is tasty black plum and stone dust blend with notes of blackberry, mint, and black licorice. We also detected hints of black pepper and thyme. The finish is rather dry, and its dusty fine tannins linger and last for quite some time. The Tasting Panel would pair this Cab Franc with a New York strip steak. Enjoy - KWGTP
