Wine Review: This India ink colored Petit Verdot opens with a violet and gentle black cherry bouquet with hints of smoke and leather. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with medium acidity. The mouthfeel is silky, soft, dense, and well-balanced. The flavor profile is stewed plum and black cherry blend with notes of stony minerality. We also detected hints of blueberry, black currant, and a touch of anise. The finish is dry and its very well-managed tannins build-up and are nicely extended. The Panel would drink this Petit Verdot by the firepit or with BBQ brisket burnt ends. Enjoy – KWGTP
