Wine Review: This opaque and dark ruby colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Alpha Omega was our favorite from our mini high end tasting that I conducted with some of the Tasting Panel members. It opens with a black cherry bouquet with hints of Spanish cedar and stone dust. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, well-balanced and savory. The flavor profile is a tasty black currant and gentle minerality blend. We also detected notes of blackberry, dark chocolate and black licorice. The finish is dry and its well-managed tannins sail on for a very long time. The group suggested pairing this gem with a New York strip steak or prime rib. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Deep, dark eggplant colored with magenta on the rim. It displays a concentrated, deep nose with touches of macerated strawberries, daffodils and tulips with touches of black pepper, slate, oregano, oranges and chocolate. On the palate, it is powerful, but with a round entrance that evolves on a dense mid-palate with structured tannins lingering on cassis, pomegranate and black cherry flavors.
