Wine Review: This white gold colored Sauvignon Blanc from Napa is very impressive. It opens with a fragrant grapefruit and nectarine like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic and mouthwatering. The flavor profile is a tasty mild grapefruit and Anjou pear blend with notes of nicely integrated gentle minerality and cream soda. I also detected hints of pineapple and dash of white pepper. The finish is dry and flavors drift away nicely. I would pair this food friendly and very good Sauvignon Blanc with pan-seared scallops, orange rice, and a citrus Key lime sauce. Enjoy – Ken
