Wine Review: This slightly cloudy light yellow colored Chardonnay from Napa Valley is a very traditional oak-styled Chard. It opens with a mild and appealing lemon and light oak bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, slightly acidic, juicy and mouthwatering. The flavor profile is an oak influenced pear and light lemon blend with notes of almonds and pineapple. It also detected some hints of green apple and a dash of nutmeg. The finish is dry and fades away nicely. This Chardonnay would pair perfectly with pan-fried rainbow trout drizzled with a lemon butter sauce. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Color: shiny, rich yellow gold with hints of beige and diamond On the Nose: marzipan and persimmon with chocolate, coconut, quince and apricot evolving on nutmeg and cumin On the Palate: dense entrance evolving on fresh grapefruit, citrus and yellow cherries lingering on pineapple, mango and canned peaches
