Wine Review: This almost clear colored Sauvignon Blanc from Napa was a top finisher in our recent big blind tasting. It opens with a fragrant grapefruit bouquet with hints of honeysuckle and banana. On the palate, this wine is light bodied, slightly acidic and fresh. The flavor profile is a pleasant mild yellow grapefruit with notes of faint key lime, honeydew melon, and minerality. The finish is dry and fades away nicely. The panel felt this was a very good food wine. They suggested pairing it with grilled rainbow trout or pan seared tuna. Enjoy
Winemaker Notes: Color: Bright shiny gold with hints of silver On The Nose: Explosion of pear, granite and almond evolving on coconut, guava and lemon yogurt with white chocolate, cassis and fresh cut grass On The Palate: Crisp entrance of apricot and vanilla with touches of citrus and rose, lingering on grapefruit
