Wine Review: This opaque and deep purple colored Cabernet from Alpha Omega was the clear winner in our big blind tasting. It opens with a mild black currant bouquet with hints of black cherry, light oak and cigar box. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, nicely balanced, rich, smooth and refined. The flavor profile is a very tasty black currant with notes of oak and black cherry. We also detected hints of minerality and blueberry in the complex blend. The finish is dry and its fruit flavors and moderate tannins are nicely prolonged. The panel suggested slowly sipping this gem with a filet mignon while enjoying a very special dinner. Enjoy - KWGTP
