Wine Review: This dark ruby colored red blend opens with a mild ripe black raspberry bouquet with a hint of red currant. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and chalky. The flavor profile is a mineral infused gentle black raspberry and ripe black plum with notes of old oak and blueberry. I also detected a hint of pomegranate towards the back palate. The finish is dry and its substantial dusty oak tannins are rather lengthy. This wine would pair well with a New York strip steak. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Color: deep, shiny red with black cherry and strawberries on the rim. On the nose: explosion of cedar with spices like tobacco, cumin and white pepper balanced with touches of violet, clay, blueberry and cherry with dark chocolate. On the palate: entrance of raspberry, evolving on dense, soft tannins with touches of cassis, blueberry, prune and cherry, lingering on gooseberry, rose petals and lavender with a hint of saltiness.
