Wine Review: This gold colored Pinot Grigio from Alto Adige opens with a gentle leather, mild ginger and green apple bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, nicely balanced, round and slightly viscous. The flavor profile is an almond and green apple blend with hints of Anjou pear and light hefeweizen beer along with a drop of clover honey towards the end. The finish is dry and subtly fades away. This Pinot Grigio is food friendly and would pair well with trout almandine. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: The 2018 "Porer" Pinot Grigio is straw-yellow colored with a red shimmer. It is slightly aromatic with a pronounced fruity bouquet featuring melon and peach along with spice and minerals. On the palate, it is rich and quite opulent, while at the same time lively, fresh, fruity and dry. Best to be consumed within 2-6 years. Pair with starters, pates and seafood.
