Wine Review: This very pale straw-colored Muller Thurgau from Lageder opens with a musty wood, crust stone and almond bouquet with just a hint of lime zest. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied and has pleasant balanced acidity. The flavor profile is a mild mineral influenced light lime with notes of almond. The finish is dry and refreshing. This is a nice summer quaffing wine to serve slightly chilled at the pool or beach. With food, I would pair it with linguini with clams. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Brilliant, clear, bright straw-yellow colored with a green shimmer. On the nose, it’s semi-aromatic and youthful. It features aromas of apricots, apples, florals and nutmeg. On the palate, it is light bodied, elegant, structured, lively, fresh and dry. Best to be drunk within 1 to 2 years after release. Serve as an aperitif or with starters, salads, grilled or fried seafood.
