Wine Review: This dark ruby colored wine opens with a mild black cherry and rose petal bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced and smooth. The flavor profile is a tasty black cherry and old oak blend with notes of gentle minerality. I also detected a hint of blueberry. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins are very sticky and linger for quite some time. This wine would pair nicely with Italian beef braciole. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: La Grola features careful, craftsman-like ageing in the cellar yields a red wine with great elegance, harmony and finesse that can evolve positively for over a decade. La Grola is excellent paired with red meat dishes, whether roasted or with dark sauces, and especially lamb and kid. It is also delicious with stewed or grilled mushrooms and with mild, aged cheeses. Open the bottle an hour before consumption.
