Wine Review: This dark red colored Syrah from Alexander Valley Vineyards is a steal. It opens with a new leather bouquet with hints of black raspberry. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced and very smooth. The flavor profile is a very nice mild mineral infused black raspberry with notes of old oak. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins are nicely prolonged. Mark and I would suggest pairing this with your favorite stuffed steak burrito. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: This dark purple wine has floral aromas of violets, cherry, blackberry, vanilla and spice. There are flavors of wild strawberry, blackberry, black cherry, stone fruit and vanilla. There are silky tannins and a long finish. Grilled meats or long slow braises — beef, lamb or poultry accented with thyme, garlic and rosemary.
