Wine Review: This dark red colored Zinfandel that we discovered at this year's Boston Wine Expo is a steal. It opens with a pleasant blueberry and vanilla oak bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced, and very smooth. The flavor profile is a very tasty Bing cherry with notes of blueberry and nicely integrated oak. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins are sticky and linger for a while. We would suggest pairing this gem with wiener schnitzel ala roquefort. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The 2012 is 100% Zinfandel with aromas of spice, black pepper, dark fruits and vanilla. This refined, well balanced Zinfandel has spicy flavors of plum and black cherry along with black pepper and cocoa powder. There is nice acidity and length to the finish.
