Wine Review: This slightly opaque and dark ruby colored Syrah from Sicily opens with a black licorice and cured meat bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium acidity. The mouthfeel balanced and round. The flavor profile is a mocha and blackberry blend with notes of black tea and oak. I also detected hints of fig, black olive, and black licorice. The finish is dry and its flavors and mild tannins drift away nicely. This Syrah would pair nicely with a barbecue pulled pork and beef brisket platter. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Ruby red, dark and opaque with violet glints.
Rich and elegant, with notes of black cherries in alcohol, black currants, cocoa, graphite, humus, roasted coffee, rhubarb, leather, black pepper and cloves which create an intriguing and charming bouquet
Powerful, velvety, and confident; Kaid is a particularly territorial and Mediterranean wine which seduces the taster with its unmistakable personality, admirably creating an articulate and full-bodied wine, further benefiting from the lively impulsiveness of its well-balanced tannin content.
Remarkable with a tasty Sicilian falsomagro (stuffed meat roll with sauce) and braised black pig.
