Wine Review: This slightly opaque and dark ruby colored Syrah from Sicily opens with a black licorice and cured meat bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium acidity. The mouthfeel balanced and round. The flavor profile is a mocha and blackberry blend with notes of black tea and oak. I also detected hints of fig, black olive, and black licorice. The finish is dry and its flavors and mild tannins drift away nicely. This Syrah would pair nicely with a barbecue pulled pork and beef brisket platter. Enjoy - Ken

Rich and elegant, with notes of black cherries in alcohol, black currants, cocoa, graphite, humus, roasted coffee, rhubarb, leather, black pepper and cloves which create an intriguing and charming bouquet
