Wine Review: This pitch black colored Tempranillo from Ribera opens with a new leather and black cherry like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, acidic and juicy. The flavor profile is a cedar plank infused plum with notes of black currant and a touch of espresso and strawberry licorice. The finish is dry and its tannins are rather sticky and linger for quite some time. This big boy Spanish wine would pair well with a New York strip steak. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Intense Tempranillo character is apparent in an elegant and pure wine only lightly influenced by the oak. Intensively fruity on the palate with a lingering, slightly dusty finish that promises excellent development in the bottle. Aged 15 months in primarily American oak.
