Wine Review: This opaque and pitch black colored Tempranillo was our favorite wine in a recent mini tasting that we conducted. It opens with a new leather and blackberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, very well balanced, and smooth as silk. The flavor profile is a delicious gentle black raspberry with nicely integrated oak. The finish is dry and displays building fine tannins. The impressive wine is a great deal and would be perfect with a nicely marbled ribeye. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: 100% Tempranillo from the Pesquera clones. Purity of fruit accompanies generous texture and weight, with excellent balance and expression. Enhanced by malolactic fermentation in new oak barrels, two years in thebarrel and two years bottle age prior to release.
