Wine Review: This medium ruby colored wine from Côtes du Rhône opens with a stewed strawberry and red currant jam bouquet with some earthy scents mixed in. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied and brightly acidity. The mouthfeel is round. The flavor profile is an oak and red plum blend with flinty minerality throughout. There are hints of strawberry, black tea, and prune mixed in. The finish is dry and its dusty tannins and flavors build-up and stick around for a while. This rustic styled wine would pair well with a bison burger off the grill. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Intense, brilliant garnet-red color. It reveals lovely fruit, loads of body and a heady bouquet of ground peppers, raspberries cherry liqueur, currants, and spice box. Full-bodied and dense, it tastes more like a "baby Châteauneuf" than a Côtes du Rhône. A complete wine, rich and elegant, thanks to the harmony of all the elements which make it up.
