Wine Review: In the glass it is a sparkling clear medium ruby color. The nose is loads of red fruit, cherry and raspberry, with mint, chocolate and pencil shavings. On the palate, it is rich with a medium plus body and medium acidity, and a moderate amount of complexity. There are flavors of red cherry, red currant, minerality, tobacco and licorice. The moderate dusty tannins last quite a while in the long finish. A big bowl of beef stew would go nicely with a glass of this Cab. - Mark

Winemaker Notes: The 2017 Aerena Cabernet has enticing aromas of blackberry with hints of black licorice and graphite. Rich, concentrated notes of plum and black cherry on the mid palate leading to layers of dark chocolate with soft tannins that finish with cocoa and vanilla.
