Wine Review: This translucent and dark red colored Pinot Noir from the Willamette Valley in Oregon opens with a black cherry and dark chocolate bouquet with hints of black currant and cigar box. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, fresh, and a little lean. The flavor profile is a stony minerality and black plum blend with notes of black tea and cinnamon. I also detected some hints of oak and faint red raspberry. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and mild tannins linger nicely. I would pair this Pinot with coq au vin. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: This vintage of Willamette Valley conveys lovely notes of fresh raspberries and cinnamon stick on the nose, along with sneaky hints of lavender and anise seed. This is positively vibrant on the palate, bursting with freshness. The texture is supple with smooth tannins leading into the finish.
