Wine Review: This medium ruby colored Pinot Noir from Adelsheim opens with a strawberry, cedar, and faint black raspberry bouquet with hints of clove, sea spray, tobacco, and violets. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, smooth, and delicate. The flavor profile is red plum and gentle strawberry blend with notes of hibiscus tea, cedar, and lingonberry. We also detected some hints of saline, loam, and tart cherry. The finish is dry, and its moderate dusty tannins and flavors stick around for a bit. The Tasting Panel would pair this Pinot with lamb lollipops or duck confit. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: I hesitate to write down all of the specific aromas and flavors I see in this wine; parsing them out individually seems unfair. The magic of this wine is in its complexity, its wholeness. It is better to experience it in its entirety. And what a delightful experience that is.
