Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Pinot Noir from Adelsheim opens with a black cherry and pomegranate blend with notes of black tea and blueberry. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with notes of medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, smooth and fresh. The flavor profile is a black plum and crusted stone minerality with notes of pomegranate and cinnamon tea. I also detected hints of red cherry and blueberry. The finish is dry and its refined mild dusty tannins drift away nicely. This Pinot would pair well with a stuffed quail. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: What a lovely expression of Breaking Ground! This wine is sleek and elegant, redolent of hibiscus tea, fresh cherry, cinnamon bark, and nutmeg. These aromas are echoed on the palate and framed by finessed, fine-grained tannins. I will drink this wine with everything.
