Wine Review: This pale yellow colored Chardonnay from Oregon is for readers that prefer Chardonnay's fruit flavors vs. an oak influenced version of this grape. It opens with a faint peach and kiwi like bouquet. On the palate, this wine medium bodied, acidic and fruit forward. The flavor profile is a mineral influenced lime with notes of green apple, white pepper and Anjou pear. The finish is quite dry and its refreshing acidity lingers for quite some time after the wine is gone. This offering would pair well with grilled garlic chicken. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: This Chardonnay features intense fruit character and a luscious texture. It offers fresh, crisp flavors of pear, white peach, star fruit and kiwi. It pairs well with rich seafood and poultry dishes, and hard Alpine cheeses - comte, fontina, cave-aged gruyere.
