Wine Review: This medium yellow colored Albarino from Morgadio opens with an inviting bouquet featuring mild grapefruit, banana, grilled pineapple and mango with a hint of peach pit. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, nicely rounded and balanced with nice full mouth coverage. The flavor profile is a lemon-lime and gentle yellow grapefruit blend with nicely integrated fine minerality. We also detected hints of banana, faint pineapple and marzipan. The finish is dry and its flavors linger nicely. This Albarino is needs food and will be a friendly accompaniment. We would pair it with baked Dover sole, a fisherman’s platter, coconut shrimp or fried clam strips. Enjoy – Ken and Rick
Winemaker Notes: Intense and elegant with tropical fruit and kiwi complementing granitic minerality. Made from free-run juice, a well-structured, dry Albariño with a long finish.
