Wine Review: This pale straw colored Albarino from Morgadio is very good every vintage. The 2015 opens with a fragrant and attractive ripe pear bouquet with hints of wet stone. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, acidic and juicy. The flavor profile is a tasty mineral infused green apple with notes of lime and tangerine and a hint of honeydew melon and thyme. The finish is dry and quite refreshing. This Albarino is very food friendly and versatile. I would serve it with Nova Scotia steamed mussels with drawn butter. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Intense and elegant with tropical fruit and kiwi complementing granitic minerality. Made from free-run juice, a well structured, dry Albarino with a long finish.
