Wine Review: This translucent and pale straw colored Godello from Adega Cachin is a very nice summer wine. It opens with a ripe quince and wet stone bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced and round. It was also very easy to drink and viscous. The flavor is a gentle crushed stone and lemon verbena blend with notes of saline. I also detected some faint hints of quince and almond in the mix. The finish is dry and quite refreshing. Everyone that tried this wine liked it. I would pair this Godello based wine with broiled scallops. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Yellow straw with green highlights, reflecting the wine’s youth. Bright and clear. Intense fruity and mineral aromas, followed by floral notes. Complex scents from the blend of varieties. Full and unctuous mouthfeel balanced by refreshing acidity with a long finish. Pair with seafood and fish.
