Wine Review: This opaque dark purple wine opens with a smoky blackberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied and easy drinking with a slight bit of elevated acidity. The flavor profile is a mild oak infused black cherry with hints of black raspberry. The finish is dry and its mild tannins are slightly sticky. If you have not tried Mencia yet, give this one a whirl with veal parmigianna. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Deep cherry-garnet red with violet hues in the rim. Intense and very fruity on the nose with pleasant oak complexity in the background. Smooth and fruity on the palate. A complex, intense, and persistent finish with juicy tannins and structure from the oak. Excellent aging potential.
