Wine Review: This pale straw colored Chardonnay opens with a mild lime and gentle apple bouquet. On the palate, this wine is light bodied, slightly acidic and crisp. The flavor profile is a gentle lime with nicely integrated minerality and white pepper. I also detected hints of pineapple and clementine. The finish is dry and nicely refreshing. This Chardonnay will really appeal to no oak fans and also Sauvignon Blanc fans. I would pair this wine with steamed mussels in garlic broth. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: A vibrant nose of lemon, grapefruit and minerality, leading to a softly textured palate with a gentle creamy mouthfeel. Background hints of nuts on the palate gives complexity and the tight acid structure results in a wine with a long, clean finish. Despite the absence of oak, the wine is complex and integrated, due to extended lees aging. This is summer in a glass – Fresh, punchy and vibrant. Drink With: Oysters or Sashimi
