Wine Review: This pale straw-colored Sauvignon Blanc from Acumen opens with a yellow grapefruit and lime bouquet with hints of lemon zest, gooseberry, and apple blossom. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, creamy, mouthwatering, and crisp. The flavor profile is gooseberry, lime zest, and chalky minerality with notes of grapefruit pith. We also detected some hints of lemon and green apple. The finish is dry, and it is quite refreshing. Its flavors also last for a very long time. The Tasting Panel would serve this Sauvignon Blanc with a swordfish steak, sole meunière or with Pont l’Évêque cheese. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Crafted from organically grown grapes, this tantalizing mountain grown Sauvignon Blanc leaps from the glass with zesty aromas of lemon, grapefruit and citrus blossom, as well as notes of green apple and lychee. On the palate, the flavors are clean and crisp, with toned acidity providing a refreshing structural framework to lively layers of citrus, melon and minerality that build to a bright, focused finish.
