Wine Review: This wine was a recent hit with some Old World fans at a recent party I attended. This bright ruby red wine opens with a little bit of a barnyard like bouquet. There are also some blackberry notes present as well. On the palate, this wine is exciting and comes alive in your mouth. It then delivers very ripe cherry flavors. The finish is dry, it has fine tannins, and shows some oak as it fades away. This Old World wine paired nicely with a mesclun greens salad with goat cheese fondue portobello croutons and balsamic vinaigrette. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: This refined, stylish blend of Sangiovese and Merlot combines fruit lushness and concentration with a palate of ripe wild cherries, black fruit, leather and vanilla repeated in the aromas. Firm, elegant tannins and integrated oak end in a balanced finish.
