Wine Review: The Peasant has the best label in the business and Very Good wine inside the bottle. It opens with an initial scent of clove, which is closely followed by a blend of light raspberry and blueberry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, very nicely balanced, soft, and elegant. The flavor profile is a juicy plum with a little black cherry mixed in. It is very easy to drink. The finish is dry and its mild tannins linger for a little while. This food friendly wine will nicely complement a pork tenderloin. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: This traditional Rhone blend is Mourvedre, Syrah, Grenache, Counoise, & Tannat. On the nose, smokey black fruit and spice, vanilla crème brulee. On the palate, rich black fruit spice and anise finishing long into sexy vanilla oak. Picture a night with Bridget Bardot wrapped in velvet.
