Wine Review: This impressive Cabernet is highly recommended for the second vintage in a row. It is a very dark opaque purple. It opens with an attractive spicy black currant like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, nicely balanced, and smooth. The flavor profile is a very spicy black currant and black cherry blend with complex hints of anise and blackberry. This wine really evolves in the glass. The finish is quite dry and its fine tannins are nicely prolonged. This wine would be a perfect complement to a NY strip steak. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The 2006 Buckeye is a dark ruby purple color. There are aromas of black cherry, cassis, walnut, and black tea. The palate has dense fruit, toasty vanillin oak, fine tannins, and a long finish.
