Wine Review: I was recently out with a client and this was the wine we enjoyed for the evening. This wine was a very dark purple in color. It opens with a spicy oak and black raspberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, nicely balanced, and smooth with tasty sour cherry flavors. There was a hint of oak noted as well. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins are nicely prolonged. This wine would pair very nicely with veal parmigianna. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Produced in total accordance with the Tenuta Dell'Ornellaia's philosophy, Le Volte 2007 is a Tuscan wine that speaks the same language (or uses the same words) as Ornellaia. The aromatic and structural components display perfect balance, with fresh, lightly spiced red berry fruit notes, and smooth fullness on the palate, where the soft Merlot tannins combine with the structure of Cabernet and the classic liveliness of Sangiovese.
