Wine Review: This wine is just stunning! It returns to top form and in my opinion challenges the 2005 vintage as the best Loco to date. This almost black and very opaque wine was extremely well received by our mini panel group. It was clearly everyone’s favorite wine. It opens with a tremendously inviting blueberry like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, ultra smooth, and wonderfully balanced. The flavor profile is a delicious lush blueberry. The finish is quite dry and its moderate tannins linger for quite some time. This wine is made for hedonistic drinking. Sit back and enjoy the ride. Cheers - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Tempranillo from the "Tres Cajones Vineyard" in Templeton is blended with Syrah and Mourvedre. Massive, massive wine. Big fruit, big structure, big balls - in fact three. On the palate, big black fruit that seems to resonate with angst. Huge structure with rich tannins; long, long, long on the mouth; a rich oak finish.
